Black Squirrel has been called the perfect watercolour tool. It is softer than Sable, points as well, holds more liquid and is easy to control. As it releases colour, it looses some of its snap, so consequently it is better to use with a wet technique.
As befitting such a brush, each is supplied with a clear plastic, ventilating cap, which not only protects the tip and allows the brush to dry evenly, but also protects it from insects.
