Jo Sonja Gesso available in: Black or White may be used instead of, or as well as, All Purpose Sealer. Usually applied on very porous or uneven surfaces, the grit will have a slight levelling effect which is beneficial for inferior surfaces or rough edges. Great for sealing wooden surfaces before basecoating for folk art.

Most beneficial if two or more coats are applied with sanding between coats.

The JoSonja Black Gesso makes an excellent blackboard paint.
